App Assist is a RAG AI assistant that help users to quickly generate customized application packages based on a job description.

Users provide a master resume containing “everything they’ve ever done at any job”, and the assistant parses this to find the most relevant experiences to the job description.

It then sorts these experiences by relevance and returns two .docx files: a customized, formatted resume listing their most relevant experiences verbatim, and a customized cover letter in the specified tone linking their top two or three experiences to the current role.

Checks are in place to ensure that no “made up” experiences are included, and that experiences and results are grouped under the correct job.

A demo version is available below which uses my own master resume. I will soon be adding an editor so that users can easily replace this with their own resume and use the tool without needing to clone the repository and run it locally. The code is also available for view and use on GitHub.
